Deep-Clean Glow: A One-Session Protocol for Oily, Breakout-Prone Skin
Mariangel Hospedales, esthetician, built the protocol around the client's skin condition and goals, combining several technologies in a deliberate sequence:
The client came in with oily, breakout-prone skin: visible pores in the T-zone, excess shine, a "congested" texture across the forehead and sides of the face, and uneven tone with post-breakout marks.
Meet Mariangel Hospedales, Esthetician
This protocol was performed by Mariangel Hospedales — an esthetician with over 8 years of experience, specializing in acne-, melasma-, and hyperpigmentation-prone skin.

Mariangel builds her protocols around skin analysis: what the skin is showing, what the client wants, and which sequence will deliver the most balanced visible result.

In the T-zone, higher oiliness combined with surface buildup makes the pore openings more noticeable and the skin texture less uniform.

Client: 24, Fitzpatrick II
Main concern: oily, breakout-prone skin with uneven tone
What was showing: excess shine, visible pores in the T-zone, "congested" texture across the forehead and sides, post-breakout marks, dullness
Number of sessions: 1
Protocol goal: clean and refine the surface, and support a more even, calmer, fresher-looking complexion
Uneven tone and post inflammatory marks
After breakouts, areas of altered color can remain on the skin, which disrupt the uniformity of tone and make the overall look of the skin less even.

Uneven, congested surface texture
Buildup of sebum and dead cells creates unevenness on the skin's surface. Because of this, it looks less smooth and loses its visual freshness.

Excess sebum and visible pores
Skin Condition and Protocol Goals
What the Skin Was Showing
Protocol Logic:
How Each Step Built the Result
Step 3. Cold Plasma
Step 2. Surface Renewal — Mandelic Peel
Step 1. Cleansing and Surface Refining
Step 5. Serum, Cream, SPF
What was done: an azelaic serum, a moisturizing cream, and sunscreen. Why: the finishing products help maintain the refreshed, cared-for appearance and leave the skin feeling comfortable.
What happened in the skin: the finishing layer sits over the stratum corneum, supports a more even surface feel, and helps hold moisture. Azelaic care supports a more even, clearer-looking tone. SPF is an essential step after surface renewal.
Step 4. Calming Finish
What was done: a Casmara 2020 hydroplastic mask.
Why: after the active steps, the skin needs calming and balance.
What happened in the skin: the mask forms a continuous cooling layer over the skin that supports surface hydration and a feeling of comfort, helping the skin look calmer and more balanced.

What was done: the peel was removed and cold plasma with the Zemits EvoPlasm was applied over the whole face (about 15 minutes) with gliding movements and short pauses (up to ~3 seconds) over the problem areas.
Why: this finishing technology was used to support a more balanced, refreshed appearance after the surface had been cleansed and refined.
What happened in the skin: cold plasma supported a clean surface and a more even, calmer-looking complexion. Working over the entire surface of the face helped treat the skin evenly, while the added attention to the problem zones made it possible to work on their appearance in a targeted way.
What was done: the face was cleansed and a 20% mandelic peel was applied for 7–8 minutes (timing set by tolerance and the condition of the skin barrier).
Why: after cleansing, the skin was better prepared for gentle surface renewal.
What happened in the skin: mandelic acid loosens the bonds between the dead cells of the stratum corneum, surface buildup sheds more evenly, and the texture looks smoother.

SalicPure PRO serum worked in parallel:
  • Salicylic Acid helped loosen the dense buildup in the pore openings.
  • Aloe Vera supported a calmer-looking complexion right after the mechanical stage.
  • Ginger and Turmeric — botanical antioxidants that helped the tone look more even and fresher after cleansing.
What was done: the HydroDiamond modality on the Zemits DermeLuxx PRO with the Hydro Extraction Tip, combined with the Serum with Salicylic Acid, Zemits SalicPure PRO (2–3 passes).
Why: the skin needed a gentle but thorough surface cleanse before the next steps.
What happened in the skin: the Hydro Extraction Tip works by vacuum, drawing excess sebum, softened buildup, and debris out of the pore openings. The surface became cleaner and more even, and the cleared pore openings looked less noticeable.
Protocol Synergy
  • clearer and fresher
  • calmer in tone
  • more even in texture
  • with less noticeable shine in the T-zone
After one session, the skin looked:
The result came from the way each step reinforced the next. First the surface was prepared, then supported with actives and finishing technologies.
